The Friends of Hare Hill Park Meeting
is 17/08/2010

Meetings are held at the Littleborough Bowling Club in Hare Hill Park Littleborough. The Friends are very pleased that the Club are kind enough to host their monthly meetings which take place in an informal atmosphere where ideas are discussed and everyone has a voice.

Currently the meetings are Chaired by Mr Malcolm McCormick, lifetime resident of Littleborough and long serving member of the group.  Although all members cannot attend every meeting the information is always passed on via the minutes and it is hoped that regular updates will be made to this site to keep all interested parties involved in the proceedings.

CHAIRMAN'S REPORT - A small presentation by the Chairman - Malcolm McCormick regarding current issues in Hare Hill Park and the part it plays within the community of Littleborough.

TREASURER'S REPORT - Presented by the Treasurer - Mr David Woodhead

EVENTS - Organisation of 2010 events presented by the Events Organiser Mr Adrian Woodhead--Band Days, summary of Rushbearing and forthcoming events.

CONSERVATION REPORT--the construction of the report to be submitted to include Hare Hill Park in Littleborough proposed conservation area

KEEPING THE LIBRARY IN HARE HILL HOUSE--The forming of a strategy by which the people of Littleborough can protest against the removal of Littleborough Library from Hare Hill Park.

BOWLING GREENS REPORT - The upcoming work improvements of the Bowling Green presented by Tom Whittacker and John Carney.

SKATEBOARD AND PLAY AREA UPDATE - Presented by John Carney

PARK UPDATE - NEW WORKS - Presented by John Carney


We would welcome anyone who is interested in the welfare of the Park, Hare Hill House, the library and its role in Littleborough to attend the meeting and join in.
